New Residents

As I posted on the Yahoo blog, here are the dolls that I bought today in my shopping blitz, including some detailed pictures.

Here is Will Turner and Prez Teddie Roosevelt. Both these characters will live in Silkendale (they need men LOL) I already have a little story about Ted's arrival.

Here's the Bratz gal which came with a movie camera. As you can see she is a poser.

Here is a fuzzy close up of two of my new kitties. On the left is Knit Kitty, very similar to the repro Barbie and Skipper set. Who copied who eh? LOL

She is sitting with the "last" 2008 Swimsuit TK that MFD had in stock. I am sorry to say cos I wanted all 3 hair colours of this one!

Here's the TK that I have drooled over for awhile now, especially after seeing her in Connie's Barbietown LOL She comes with the trunk and 2 change of outfits.

This gal comes with a neat B-B-que, pink of course, it's Mattel !LOL This was at the toy fair in NY but I have seen it on the shelves in various WM's for a couple of months now. It finally came down to $19.99 from $24.99 so I picked it up. I already have a scene planned for this, coming in March.

And it comes as no surprise that Peter Silkstone is the winner!

Peter is most interested in his escort. Hmm will she be in his next movie? I see a scandal brewing here.

More Pix from the Saturday Dance

Wish I had a date! *sigh*

On the dance floor

Cheek to cheek (supposed to blurry cos they are moving LOL)

Dancin' all by herself!

The DHer's are pleased that this dance (and the loud music) are still going on. Why should the regular Doltonites have all the fun eh? Hope you all are enjoying your weekend. Now crank the music up and get groovin!

What do you think?

I'd like everyone's opinion on this one please. I was contemplating putting Jack Bauer in the Silkstone community, even though he is not one. I'll make a poll for this. Please vote and tell me your reasons why you voted as you did. Thank you.

Speak up I can't hear you!

What is he doing here?

Reminiscing

WE all remember when Richard was smitten with Joy. She too had fallen for him. But then Sandy showed up and we know what happened there! After she dumped Richard for John Kennedy, Richard was once again alone as Joy too had found another.

Then he met Maxine. We all thought maybe this was the one. But once again another romantic failure for Richard.
So what now? Will Richard ever find true love? Stay tuned.

New Secretary - Gossip

During coffee break, everyone was talking about the new secretary!

New Secretary

As most of you know, Richard Silkstone is the Mayor of Silkendale, Dolton Heights and Venus. Although the Venetians are arguing this, as Venus has over double the residents of Silkendale and they would like their own Mayor!
Trent Osborne and Richard Silkstone arguing.
Of course the Mayor Elect is Jimmy Cagney. But since the summer he has been living at the Venetian Cottage up in Lofton! (typical politician eh!) So this issue is still being contemplated!
Mayor Elect Jimmy Cagney.
Anyway back to today's story/scene. The previous secretary was Vivette (a Rue Paul Doll) who has since moved to Dolton Proper. Therefore Richard has been "lost" without a secretary. That is until now!
I think he made the right choice in selecting Miss Pamela Dixon to be his new secretary, as the silkies will never move to Dolton!
Secretary's office.
Pamela greets Mr. Silkstone.
"Here's your morning paper, Sir"

Jane's Been Busy

As you can see Jane (aka me LOL) has been very busy. I make at least one poncho a day. Plus I am back making chairs and of course I am still crocheting squares for various bed spreads (it's never ending LOL) Everytime I go to Walmart I find new wool in different variations of colours. Of course I have to buy them!
Here's Jane put fringe trim around a hat. Well that is what it will be when it's done! The ponchos piled up beside her are waiting for different trims to be added. Again whenever I go shopping at the dollar store I buy the eyelash wool for trim.
Here's a few ponchos with matching hats. Some ponchos are plain and don't have any trim on them. I just add a crocheted edge to finish it off. I guess my goal is to make a poncho for every single female resident!!! Or maybe someday I will just sell them. In the meantime it keeps me occupied during the long winter!

Even More Residents Have Arrived

Of course I just had to go back to MFD today for these two gals. She only got 8 sets in so I didn't want to wait and miss out. I know a lot of people don't like Ethel but I do.

Here's Madra Lord, who I have named Rose. One of 5 dolls in this series. She is called Deep Rose, hence the reason I named her Rose!
Stepping Lively. She is happy to be freed from her box. And actually I think she was heading for my pizza that is on the plate beside her LOL
Here's Rose picking the lottery numbers for me. I have won everyday this week. Small amounts from $7. to $32. Hopefully Rose will pick the winning numbers for me! As you know I always play my doll populations (each town). So now I have to fill out all new tickets for tonight! Wish me luck!

New Residents for Dolton and Silkendale

Yep I went to MFD today cos she had a website sale and picked up several new residents. Also visited WM and TRU but nothing worth buying there. (except more wool at WM LOL)
Here's the gang!
What a change eh! From the ideal 50's woman (in the kitchen) to the modern day business woman! Ironic that I purchased these two extremes.

So now it's time to play and get to know the newest arrivals. Also I have to change my lottery #'s

T.G.I.F. everybody!

Apres Ski or back at the cottage

It's over! Time to head to the cottage
Warming her hands by the fireplace.
Everyone is cozy.
I had a great day of skiing.
