It's been a while...

It's been a while since I posted and went shopping. What with two funerals this month and visit to see my centarian mother, not to mention working "every" weekend, I've been to busy to shop. But today I made up for it. I left the house at 8:30 this morning and just got home around 3:30 this afternoon. I'm beat!

First I took my neighbour, Elly up to her friend's place. Then I drove to MFD and picked up the Speed Racer set (I got 2). Then it was back across town to Samko. The place was packed and no wonder, there were deals galore! It doesn't show in the picture but I even bought more Legolas! Then I went to TRU, what a waste of time! Then I was off to another mall, which is one of those discount malls. I browsed the whole mall. Sears had a huge sale but I only bought a purse, which was badly needed. I bought two more of those drawer sets for my Venetians at Micheal's as they were 75% off the original price. I may repaint them.

I have always wanted the doll bed in the picture, but would never pay $25 for it as it was in all the stores. Samko had it for $10, so I bought two. I bought a couple more Patrick Dempsey dolls just for his clothes. If anyone wants a nude doll, lmk and I'll send him to you.

The Kelly outfits were a real deal too which I bought for myself and a few friends who I knew wanted them.

Well now it's time open things and set them up in Lofton. It's a gorgeous day here, cool though although the sun is hot. I may have to wait til it sets to up and play.

Hope you are all doing okay.

That Time of Year

This is an old picture from 2006 but I am using it today since another load just like this one arrived today. Despite the huge amount of snow that we received this past winter the front lawn is terrible. Not sure why, unless the trees have starved it. Anyway this load will cover the lawn quite nicely and still have lots left over. Jack finally cut the lawns (front & back) on the weekend in between rain showers. It was bitterly cold here for our long weekend. I almost thought it was Thanksgiving LOL Some areas just north of Toronto got snow showers! Didn't surprise me.

I worked all weekend as I did last weekend and will for the next two weekends as the lottery corporation is giving out left over unclaimed money. $20 MILLION, yes million a week. We've had 3 winners so far but last week, no one won, so the jackpot is up to $27 million for this friday. I'm telling you it's a friggin' zoo at work. People line up 30 deep to buy tickets for this. They scrape up dimes, nickles, pennies anything to make up the $2 for a ticket. I am exhausted to say the least after working an 8 hour shift, standing the whole time. There are usually two of us open too and there are 3 booths in the mall that I work at. It's the 2nd or 3rd largest mall in Canada, so you can figure out just how many people come there.

I remember before we moved to Mississauga, when we would come here to visit or for business we would often stop at this mall and I would shop. The first temp agency I ever worked for was located here too. This mall is located slap dab in the centre of Mississauga which is considered our 'downtown' as City Hall is right next door. The nice thing too is that it only takes me 17 minutes to drive to work. That is a miracle in this city!

Well time for a bite to eat then I'm heading out to the garden to start unloading that soil. I'll only do a bit each day so it may take me a month or so. Of course Jack will do some too. When the bag is empty we can return it for $5. and there is no time limit either.

Maybe I can enlist some Doltonites to help me!
