Mini Fashion Show Part 4

Here's the final segment of the Mini fashion show. The girls were complaining it's just too hot!

The Jazz Babys are all wearing knit pop tops. When I first saw them I thought they were kerchiefs as they are only triangles. These would be so easy to make.




And finally here is Guenevere, a skipper who received this sweater last year but until recently didn't have a pair of jeans to wear it with. Notice the stripes in the jeans are the same colour as the stripes in the sweater! She's so co-ordinated! LOL













The girls are right, it's much to hot for anymore of this today. Maybe later I'll dress some the guys in the Heights in swim suits. Of course the girls will want swimsuits too, hmmm looks like it's gonna be a busy afternoon after all!

Mini Fashion Show Part 3

In part 3 I decided instead of dressing the dolls in their "colour" that they came in, I have given them completely different colour outfits to wear. You can see how much better they look, IMO anyway LOL

Mini Fashion Show Part 2

Here's Patti-Jean (Miss Emerald-May) She was the first Birthstone I got. Actually she came from Yvonne long before these dolls came to Canada. She had been in my cabinet until last March when she came out for St. Patrick's Day.


And here she is in her mint outfit.













Peridene (Miss Peridot-August) was the first duplicate doll I bought after I bought the whole series as I like her colouring.


Here she is happy that she doesn't have to wear the knit jacket on such a warm day!













And here's Ellowynne, the blonde Jazz Baby. She seems to like this sage number and looks very relaxed in it. Don't you think?

Mini Fashion Show Part 1

Today I went to Mattel's big 3 day sale. I bought more of the birthstone dolls to play with and found to my delight the Jazz Baby dolls. I bought another brunette, a) so I could have a 4th chair and b) cos the brunette is my favourite.I retrieved the rest of the Jazz Baby's and my other two Birthstone and had them model the new outfits that I received from Sweden. Here are some of the pix I managed to take before it got dark.

Lana (Miss Aquamarine-March) taking off her jacket. You know I never realized that these dolls wore a jacket as I thought it was just top part of their dresses. Duh! Guess I need to get my eyes checked LOL

Ready for the Beach

Christopher is the latest Ken that I have. Beside him is Speedracer. He has a fat head but doesn't look as bad without his uniform and scarf on. As usual Mattel got cheap and made the trousers with no fastening to close them. They are sewn to his jacket! Duh! Although the t-shirt has a elastic through the crotch to keep it snug. Which I like. Lorenzo was too shy to take it off. Beside him is one of my many Legola boys.


I guess the gals will be happy to have so many guys at the beach this summer. That is if summer ever comes! Today started out warm and extremely muggy and humid. With the rain all day it stayed humid but outside it's almost cold! Even for me! Must be down to 40F

Well I still have more outfits to divy out. Some of the guys in the Heights are whining so I will see who are the lucky ones to get swim trunks. I will save a few for the Doltonites!

Goodies from Sweden

As mentioned on the Yahoo blog, I received my birthday package from Sweden last week but only got around to opening it last night. The first pic is of a 1994 Summer Looks Paul doll. Paul is Sindy's boyfriend in England and Europe. He originally was designed to look like a young Paul McCartney. I have many of those versions in my collection. Through the years 'Paul' went through some changes to match with the times.
In this picture he looks more like a hippy from the 60's. Which prompted me to name him Lennon, after John of course. The specs are sooooooo cool too. I think that is what cinched it for me. As you can see on the box that he came in, there is a Sindy to go with him. Since this doll is now 14 years old it must have been hard for Anita to get him in mint condition for me! I sure appreciate it! He was my birthday gift.
The next group is the rest of the guys that Anita picks up from Tradera, which is their ebay. From left to right is: Luka, a Paul doll. This version is in my Russian family, hence the name which is Russian for Luke. He came nude and so was dressed in one of the newer Ken outfits that was sent to me.
Next is Borje, a "Mike Groom" that is one of the latest dolls out in Europe. Many years back Anita sent me a group of these dolls when they were new. They all came in wedding tuxedos. Borje is in a Swedish family, the Nygards. Hence the name. Borje is also the name of a famous hockey player who is from Sweden but was Captain of the Toronto Maple Leafs back in the 60's (Borje Salming)
In the pink swimsuit is a Petra Fred. I have a ton of these guys and love them all dearly. Since they are in my polish family I have named this one Laszlo. They are originally from Germany though.
The darker skinned doll is another Paul doll. For some reason some of them have really dark skin. I know that they made an AA version of Sindy so maybe this is an AA version of Paul. His name is Konstantin, another Russian name.
Lastly is the guy in the blue short set. I have no idea who he is but this is the second one of him that I have received. He could be another version of Paul. I have named him Rykker, which is a Dutch name. Hah and you thought it was a Star Trek name LOL
Here's the batch of sweater outfits that was made by Ingegard for me. She is Anita's friend and is also a doll collector. I often send Ingegard dolls too. Her knitting is really tiny and the outfits look small, but believe me they will fit my dolls.



Today is a rainy day, I mean it's just down right pouring out. That's fine with me, I can go play up in Lofton as it will be cool up there. Besides I have to take all the new residents up to their temporary home for now. I am still rearranging Dolton and trying to fit in as many residents as I can. Then the shift begins from DH to Dolton and then the Lofton residents will move down to DH. That is until my house explodes from so many dolls in it LOL
