Santa Claus Parade....well sorta

Christmas is over thank goodness. I always dread this time of year as I get very down. My Dad died xmas eve and even though 28 years have passed I can't shake the mood. Now its passed and I am ready to play again!
We left off at the Fashion Show ending. The girls decided to hit the pizza parlour for some fattening food.
Many had been dieting just to fit snugly into their new dresses, those with the rib knit outfits found they stretched nicely to accommodate the food they were eating.
As they were leaving the restaurant one of the girls called out
"Look its snowing!"
Another girl called out and the Santa Claus Parade is starting. Although the girls wanted to stay and watch it, was just too cold out for them dressed in their mini dresses and so all scurried home.
But indeed the Santa Claus parade had finally started after a very long delay. Crowds lined the streets waiting in anticipation for the first ever parade in the New Dolton! Finally they saw the familiar sight of the majorette leading the procession.
The band unfortunately was very small, many of the musicians having left growing weary and cold for the long wait for Santa.
Many remarked on this.
"Oh look the poor little majorette has dropped her baton. I bet her hands are too cold to hold it" some remarked.
"Bet she's not cold!" another Doltonite remarked, pointing to the Snow Queen. "Wasn't she in another parade?" Asked another. "I recognize that outfit" But the snow queen just waved as her horse slowly pulled her along. The accummulating snow made it a bit easier to pull the sleigh but still the horse was weary from his toil.

The crowded was growing impatient for the main figure to arrive. They looked and looked....
but no sign of him came. Finally a policeman found him....

Santa was passed out drunk. Well so much for the parade this year!

Not my doing!

Well we finally got snow! Late this year but it's almost half a foot so making up for lost snowflakes! LOL
S
Still working on my scene, having trouble finding stuff here. Clothing still not unpacked yet and many boxes are packed into oblivion! With all the rearrangements I've made down in Dolton, boxes and bins are stacked where they can fit and not in any specific order because of size. Almost everything is labelled but my pea brain just can't remember what stack items are in and so it takes hours to pull everything out and look for one item! I did however find my snowflakes! So it might snow down there yet.
