Today's pictures are of the refrigerator at Jaime's work. It dates from the 1950 s and hadn't been defrosted in some time. She wanted to defrost it so I helped her Saturday. Well forty or fifty pounds of ice were in it---that is not the sun you see in one of the pictures it is the light bulb shining through the ice. We worked for over four hours and the ice was almost gone and the last hunk of ice unveiled a pin hole in the coils and all the freon escaped and the damned thing died. Jaime was beside herself but luckily the bosses thought it was sort of funny. Said they had talked more than once about replacing it and were glad they finally had an excuse to do it. So one of them went out to Lowes yesterday and bought a new one. In other news Gary is in the hospital with pneumonia, bronchitis and a couple more related things. I had begged him to go to the doctor for some time and he wouldn't but Sunday afternoon (Jaime and I had gone back to finish mopping up the water from that frig) when we got home he got me to look at his legs and they were swollen and so was his chest---you could have bounced a quarter off them. I took him to the ER and after hours they finally told us what was wrong and admitted him. He is doing better cause now he is beginning to complain. Of course with so much excess fluid they gave him lasix and he was peeing a lot---but he had about twenty pounds of excess fluid to get rid of--that's where all that swelling was coming from. He will probably be there for the rest of the week--but that is where he needs to be with people that can make him take his medicine and all. We are going out to see him in a few minutes and I will update later.

Glad to hear that Gary is on the mend. He must have been sick for quite some time to have bloated up so much Yvonne. That's why he didn't feel like doing anything. Let him stay in the hospital for awhile, it will do him good for many reasons LOL
I hope no one inhaled that freon when it escaped as it has PCP's in it. Fridges and freezers with freon have been banned in this country for many years now because of the ozone depletion and they are also very bad if the freon is released (cancerous).
