Real Blue Sky

One thing we have noticed here is the real blue sky. No smog!!! We haven't seen sky like this in many many years. And at night we can see the stars! Okay maybe for some of you it's not a big deal, but coming from the most polluted area in Canada, we sure notice it.
Squirt has become quite a talkative cat now. I can hear her squawking to Jack upstairs. Sounds they are having quite a conversation. She has a very high pitched voice compared to Mandy and Erika, who of course were actually males but that's another story.  When Squirt was a kitten it sounded more like singing than meowing but as she gets older her squeak is becoming less pitched.
It's finally starting to warm up a bit here. Still the nights are cold. But we don't feel it in this house. It's such a cosy place. Although the floor in Dolton gets quite cold as it is bare (painted) cement. And with all the stuff I still have on it, there isn't much circulation. That is slowly getting remedied.
The bedroom that is in the basement is up one step and has a plywood floor. It is the step that I tripped over which sent me to my fall 4 months ago. It's only about 3 inches up but it was a killer! Anyway this is the room where my computer is situated although that may change. Jack has installed plenty of shelving in here for me. Two walls have shelves suspended about 14" from the ceiling. These shelves house some of my NFRB dolls, with Doltonites in front of course. Underneath is the 3/4 bed that I had in Dolton Heights in the last house. Although it's covered with wool right now LOL Yep still crocheting like crazy. I'm making 6 afghans at once. I take a skein of wool and make a square for each afghan. That way I know which colours I have used. I figure I have a skein of wool for every doll I own. And I'm not exagerating here!

On Monday Jack installed some shelving for me on the wall behind where I sit. There is a window there that looks into our laneway. Not much light comes in the room because we have a carport that runs the full length of the house. It is a great thing as when it's raining or snowing you can drive under it to unload groceries and not get wet. It holds both my van and Jack's car end to end completely.

Well I guess I should get my day started. We've been up for about 3 hours now but we sit and chat while eating, and read whatever mail we get. Not much these days, which is fine with me. Although my Mary Maxim catalogue came in and well I've found a few things I would like to order from it. One is a canvas doll house. Now I don't think it will be tall enough for Barbie, but maybe the Bratz. Anyway it's on sale so I'm thinking I will order it. Once I have the plans I can always enlarge them to make fit Barbie or maybe Tiny Kitty. Will let you know how that goes. I have always wanted to get into plastic canvas and have been collecting patterns over the years that I ordered from Annie's Attic. I just never took the time to learn this craft. MM has an online video to teach you how to stitch the plastic canvas. I have bought plastic canvas furniture in the past at flea markets. It's very durable and has lasted me over 20 years of doll play.
Like I said above I better get off my butt. But I always find something else to chat about. Those who know me, know that I am a very talkative person. Especially when it comes to my dolls *grin* See what I mean. Okay I'm signing off now. Talk at you tomorrow.
