Sorry I didn't post for awhile, my days have been filled with lawyers, insurance agents, and on the phone with utility companies and everything inbetween. A week today we get the keys to our new house! I can hardly wait. I still have lots of packing to do to. Next week will be a big scramble I am sure.
Today my second Don Draper arrived. He will be named Hugh Draper and will be Raymond's younger brother. Or maybe they will be twins or....well the possibilities are endless since they came from two different doll dealers. I had preordered this one from Vogue Collectibles because at the time I didn't know where I would be living.
Because today was such a gorgeous day I took him outside for his pic. It's what we call Indian Summer here. I am dressed in shorts and a t-shirt. Won't be many of those days left. But it was a good opportunity to work in the garden. After cutting the lawn (for maybe the last time here) I started transplanting the flowers that I want to take with me to Cornwall. These are perennials so they will hopefully adapt to their new environment. I've had many of plants in pots all summer waiting to go. But now I have also pulled some from the ground. I am trying desparately to pull up one of my hydrangea's but I may need Jack's help as the root has spread. For sure I can only take one with me because the second Hydrangea is almost as tall as me and as wide. Now that's a big plant LOL
This weekend is our Thanksgiving. I did buy a small turkey to cook on Sunday. When we purchased the house I picked the 15th because I thought that weekend was Thanksgiving and I had hoped to have my dinner there. Oh well, it will be the farewell dinner here and I can have a bigger turkey for Xmas.
So T.G.I.F. everyone.
